I am at 160 right now, I have told my self if I dont get down to 130 my June I need to buy a new wedding dress, that I did  not expecet to buy, nor that is in my 17k budget right now...

Any advise, or good webs for a fat bride to lose some of this off?

A couple of months ago i was seriously considering different options like the master cleanse, African mango, joined weight watchers, but i realized what really works for me is watching what i eat and portion control and being active. I wish i had a secret diet that would help but nah...-)

I've been using My Fitness Pal lately. The weight is coming off slowly, but surely.

It's pretty simple. Calories in. Calories earned.  Calories out.  That is the simplicity of My Fitness Pal that I love.  I've done all sorts of things to attempt to lose weight, and right now this one is my favorite method.

Much success to you on your journey to losing the weight.   You can do it.

Limit your fruit! They have a high percentage of sugar. Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's good for you. I don't have any fruit after 3pm other than apples.

Watch out from all that 'fat free' junk, that basically pumps you with chemicals.

I was always too busy checking the calories on everything. Now I check the sugar. It will shock you how low calories foods (popsicles, cereals, frozen yogurt, etc) have a huge amount of sugar in them.

Eat enough protein (they have some good shakes out there) and good fats like avocado, nuts, a teaspoon of peanut butter. I  avoided these all my life, never wanting to touch anything with fat in it. Now I know better, if your body doesn't receive these fats, it will go into starvation mode and never let go of its own fat.

Along with cardio, combine some weight lifting.

I'm with Crystaltee. Eating healthy and portion control make a huge difference. I love baked stuff like cupcakes or cookies but if I seriously limit that kind of thing to... rarely. Aside from eating better and the correct amount, exercise. My nutritionist had me in the gym five days a week, weightlifting two days and cardio the other three days.

Muscle burns more calories than fat, and will help tone everything up and keep it tight. I don't know if you've ever seen anyone that diets like crazy but doesn't work out compared to someone that works out, but it's not the same. And cardio, getting your heartrate up for at least 20 minutes. (I think now I do maybe 25 minutes of jogging then 30 minutes on an elliptical)

Don't eat too late. Avoid the midnight snacking thing. Don't starve yourself, stop eating when you're full (not when you hate yourself) and make good decisions. Fad diets don't work, at least not in the long term. You may lose 30 pounds if you cut out carbs, but you'll gain it all back and then some.

I am such a huge fan of weight watchers!!  I lost 20 lbs before my wedding using WW.  It is just a way to help you learn to eat healthier and control your portions.  I went to meetings every week.  I know it seems like a lot to do but it was the only way that I could keep myself accountable.

I agree with the other ladies, eat healty and excercise.  It is the only way to lose weight and keep it off.  Good luck!

Portion control and don't eat fruit after two, nothing but sugar and don't eat anything after seven.  I had to lose weight to get back in the navy reserves and this helped me a lot. I drank lots of water and got on the treadmill.  Good luck in your journey!!!

P.S. - I had to get a new wedding dress because I am so top heavy.  One of my brides maids pissed me off and told me to lose weight in my boobs.  - Just to make you smile!

Diet and exercise! My trainer told me that women who want to lose fat should work out in the morning before your breakfast. Your body uses the energy from your fat to get you through your work out, compared to if you work out after work or dinner- your body uses the energy from what you ate all day (so you are working off what you ate-which is great still, but doesn't get rid of the fat cells as fast). Also, doctor Oz said the same thing....

And.... Dr. Oz also said that you will eat less if you eat an apple right before you eat lunch. This is b/c your stomach gets fuller faster- but with healthy things instead of all of your lunch. He also said that if you eat canned food, i.e. soups, etc. you can stick it in the fridge for 1 hour, and all of the fats/oils will rise to the top of the can- and you just scrape it off before you eat it!

Girl- I'm in the exact same boat as you- I bought my dress a size smaller, and I need to lose another 18 pounds before I look good in it! Hope this helps! good luck!

I am trying to lose a few pounds at the moment and my 'go to' weight loss method is to drink a large glass of water before every meal. i also have a smaller dinner plate so it still looks like I've got a full plate but it's a smaller portion!!

I'm not sure why it works because I'm fully aware that I'm tricking myself, but I have lost 6lb in 2 weeks.

Good luck!!

I think I just need motivation ( idk what else I need, knowing that my dress dont fit shld be enough, but for some reason its not... idk whats wrong with me.

I try to drink plenty of water so Ill be full when it comes to lunch time or dinner. I like to eat, food is my love so I was thinking to eat whatever I want ( I dont eat too bad) and just work out like crazy, one of my cousins do that but she has never had kids, I still have baby fat.

I also have heard about interval tranings, work out hard core for 15 20 min slow down for 5 10 and then keep going... idk, all i know is that I better do something... :/

Thanks everyone for all the advise, Im really going to try to go for a run in the AM before work, and myabe cardio when I get home... I will for sure update wkly, anyone else is welcomed to do the same, we all can look a little better on our big day !
