Here's a little inspiration board I put together for our kitchen (a little something I learned to do here on PW!).  I've included a pic of our actual kitchen, paint for the cupboards and wall, possible counter and tile backsplash.  We want a bit of a modern feel, but not something too trendy or that we'll quickly tire of. 

You girls have great taste--what do you think?

I personally think the colors you've come up with are great! I'd never pick light cabinets but everything you've chosen really compliments it beautifully!

I really like it!  It looks a lot like our kitchen reno, actually!  I love light and airy kitchens :)

we are going a white speckled top with white doors & mixing a little bit of a brown stringy bark looking door in so its two toned our floor tiles are a coffee colour n i dont want to go dark with the kitchen doors as its such a small room....

Looks like it will be fab, did you see the post on YHL today? Not exactly the same idea but shows how much of a difference painting the cabinets lighter can make
