New 2008 Penny...Where can I get them???

We're giving lotto scratchers as our wedding favors. With the scratcher, I plan to include a penny. Perferrably a new/newer 2008 penny. The problem...I can't find a bank that can get me new pennies. Even a friend of mine that manages a bank couldn't do it. I tried my own bank and another very large bank. None of them can order them :(

Anyone have suggestions? I searched online, but kept finding ways to buy penny stock, not pennies themselves, lol! The wedding is less than 20 days away, so I don't have much time. I wish had known that this wasn't going to be so easy, I would have handled it weeks ago.

Maybe call a coin collection store. They may have a way.

I thought you would probably be able to get them off of the US mint website, but I just checked and I didnt see anything. :o(

Eugugoly, I tried the US mint site too. Lol, my BM said she'd start collecting the shiny pennies for me. If I can't find them, then I'll probably just nix the penny.

You can clean pennies with a solution (not sure with what-vinegar maybe?) and if worst comes to worst, they will all look new.

Edit: Here is one recipe.

Do you live near one of the US Mints?

I don't think you can buy new regular pennies from their website, but I know you can buy rolls of state quarters from the online store. If you live near the Mint, then stop by and ask them where you can buy new pennies.
