We moved into our new home Early September and already started working on a couple of upgrades.

1. Flooring: We wanted to get rid of the fake tile flooring and carpet in the formal dining room.

Before:

 No backsplash, terrible flooring, needed a little love

After:

Flooring and Custom Backsplash

 Hard wood flooring, Brazilian

After Backspash and Flooring comes uplighting:

 Picture doesn't do it justice.. it's amazing! What a difference it made it look at night!

After: New paint, New flooring, and New baseboards! Love the 4 inch!

 I still have to work on a couple of other things like the fixtures, I want them to be bronze!

It's amazing how much of a different the backsplash made!

All of our fixtures (faucets, lights, etc) are oil rubbed bronze - I love it!  Just be prepared - anything that comes in ORB is more expensive than the same thing in nickel, chrome, brass, etc.

Were these renos DIY or did he show contractors what he wanted done?

We had a close family friend install he wood and do the backsplash for us while we were on our honeymoon! DH designed everything and it turned out great
