Welcome to the group!
I'm actually a pro and can probably answer any specific questions you have but I don't have any web sites or forums that would teach you. Others may chime in to tell you but I learned photography WAY before the public had access to the internet.
;o)
My biggest tip is just to shoot all the time, non-stop. I've been shooting since I was a kid and besides learning how your camera works and thinks, the best lesson of all is just taking your camera with you everywhere so that you constantly try
new things and thus, new environments, and learn how to adapt to the lighting and conditions present.
I guess the first thing I will tell you is that if you get hooked ;o), you will want to upgrade to a Canon or Nikon. The Lumix is a point and shoot still at it's base and not that it's not a great little camera, there are just some limitations
to it's abilities which will play out as you learn more and more. I'm not a gear snob at all, just pointing out a fact that I've seen over and over as I am also a photography teacher.
So, first thing's first - do you know about the ISO or speed at which you set your camera for shooting photos? This is probably the first thing you'll want to learn because it's the one basic thing that affects how you will shoot in each
lighting condition you encounter.
