Just thought I would say hello!

My FI is a keen amateur photographer (I'm biased I know but I think he's great!) and recently I've been getting more and more into it so he's bought me my first DSLR (a Nikon D3000) for my birthday!

Very excited to get out and start using it this weekend. I love the size and weight of it - he has a D200 and I find that quite hard to use so I love my little mini version!

welcome!  there seem to be more and more Nikon shooters in our group!  (i use a D700 and D300)

John would kill for a D700! He wants to upgrade but probably won't till after the wedding now. The D3000 seems to be quite good for a total novice (to learn the basics anyway)

Whooohooo!  Welcome to the group :) :) :)  I just got a Nikon (D90) for my birthday too. . .lots of us PW gals are spoiled by our guys!
