I have been on yelp and have read both positive and negative reviews about their alterations. I am a bit worried because I purchased a Monique Lhuillier Alexandra gown (dress has a completely beaded and appliquéd bodice)one size up since it was going to take 6 months to complete. I wanted to account for weight gain due to wedding planning stress.

What has been your experience dealing with the quality of their work and the turn-around time?

I am just not finishing up my alterations with them. So far they have been great. I had darts put into the back of my dress. If you look at the pics in my bio the back has intricate embroidery. The way they did it you can't even tell that it was altered. The pattern is flawless. I would recommend them based on my experience. Turn around time is very quick. I am going in today to discuss taking up the hem slightly and my wedding is next weekend.

I think it does depend on who helps you. I have loved working with Kim, she is a perfectionist. If you are a little antsy, I would recommend scheduling your appointment when Grace is in. She's always a great second pair of eyes.

Hi Soon2BWilcox,

You look beautiful in your dress.

Thanks for your opinion about Bridal Galleria. My dress is not coming until the second wk of July, which leaves me less than a month to get it altered. So, I am just trying to avoid any mishaps. Is Grace the petite Asian woman with shoulder length hair, guessing mid 30s?

I also noticed on your bio that you are using Gene Higa. My photographer Gene's studio partner, Ann Hamilton. Have you met Bogie her pug? He is too cute. We live a few blocks away on Greenwich so we often run into him and Ann, especially when he's taking care of business.

How did you deal with the heat today? No walks or shopping for me today. It's too hot. FI is on his way to the beach for some surfing.
