FI and I have been together for over 9 years...so obviously there won't be any truly 'new' experiences on our wedding night lol.

We DO NOT want kids, so I've always been on BC and we've always used a condom...but he wants to not use one for the wedding night.

I'm terrified, I don't want any chance of getting pregnant! I am on the Nuva-Ring, which seems to work great for me but I don't always follow the schedule to a T...sometimes I take it out a day or two late or put it back in late.

So...how would you ladies feel about this? Do you think it would be okay for one night? I guess I'm not really sure what my other options are, either wear one or don't.

Your situation is the exact same as mine - we DO NOT want kids either. Before we got married I was on Nuva Ring AND we used condoms. Cuz, like you, we weren't taking any chances!

I feel that since we got married though, it was time to "graduate" to no condoms ever again. We've been married for over a year with just Nuva Ring and no babies yet (KNOCK ON WOOD!!!). I think you will be perfectly fine! BC is made so you don't have to use condoms to prevent pregnancy anyway :)

I think you should be OK, I have been off and on BC for years and I never quite follow the rules either and we are baby free!! Would maybe a spermicidal lube maybe make things better or ease your mind?

No idea how it would be with nuva ring, but I'm on the pill and I'm not very good about taking it on time. And I don't just mean a couple hours late here and there... I'm supposed to be on "Tuesday" but I'm still on "Thursday" from last week. :/ (I'm so responsible)

I forgot to add that my good friend just recently announced she is pregnant...she uses NuvaRing. Freak accidents happen right??

Unfortunately, they do! No birth control is 100% - so there's always gonna be those couple that make it through. Stop worrying and enjoy your wedding night :)
