HELLO ALL NOVEMBER BRIDES!

We're getting married in a not-so-popular month, but we each picked it for our own reasons....

What's your reason for choosing November as your wedding month??

I'll start:

My family & FI's family are prairie peeps, his family being farmers....  therefore SUMMER is not a good time to stop seeding/harvest/etc to get married

I have always imagined myself getting married in a winter wonderland.  Having been in several hot summer weddings, I always knew I would want something different for my wedding.  November seemed like a good middle-ground :) :)

When we decided to get married (in January), we knew we needed some time to save some $$, so, although I'm a teacher, the summer was just too soon.  After we saw our venue we knew we wanted it.  It's a golf course and it will be closed to golfers in November.  This also meant, for us, that while our wedding was going on upstairs, there wouldn't be any golfers in the lounge downstairs (giving us the entire venue to ourselves).  I also love cooler weather, and though it's not the heart of autumn, I love the way trees look at that time of year!

i hate hot/warm weather ... but don't want it snowing or freezing either soooo November is perfect! :)

we wanted a falll wedding...love the colors of fall!

I originally chose November out of pure practicality--my sibs all married in June and July, so I wanted something different, and that's the timeline that worked for FI and I. 

BUT, now, I realize that I couldn't have chosen better.  The weather in FL at that time of year is perfect!  It's the end of hurricane season, so less chance of wet weather or hurricanes.  It's also nice and cool without being cold.

ALSO, my favorite color is burgundy/wine.  Well, apparently, that's a fall color!  (Yeah, I can be slow.  What can I say????)  All the colors that I love are in season in fall.  Decorating and picking out flowers, decorations, etc. has been so much fun.  I love it.  **Sigh**  I think November is now officially my favorite month!

EDIT:

I almost forgot--travel is super cheap in the off-season in FL too.  So, every year for our anniversary we can take a little trip for not too much dough.  :)  Better and better!

I know, right??!!!  November is truly the dark-horse month of weddings... sneakily AWESOME!

we chose November because we're doing a destination wedding in Maui.  We wanted to do it 'off season' so that people can take advantage of the travel deals and still avoid the rainy season.  Plus FI bday is in November :)

FI and I chose November because we've been to too many July weddings where the guys are sweating bullets and are miserable and FI insisted that we not do that to our bridal party. We both LOVE Fall and wanted a wine themed wedding so November was the perfect month! The fact that it's not peak season and vendors are cheaper was just a bonus!! :)

• We chose November because the hot weather usually backs off by then down here in Louisiana and we did not want to sweat at our wedding
• Because it was far enough away from Christmas to still get Christmas presents instead of wedding presents disguised as christmas presents!
• Far enough away from either of our birthdays for the same present reason
• And finally, it gave us abou a year to plan from when we got engaged.

Mostly we went with Nov 7th because 11 is FI's lucky number and 7 is mine plus it is a Saturday.  haha  We wanted to get married in July but we didn't have enough time to plan so we picked Nov.
