I did it. And it was super hard! I was so into wedding stuff that I didn't care abut school for like a semester. Good thing it was an easy semester- but I def was scared when I got to finals.

My advice- do not become addicted to PW during your hard semesters- and you have to learn to walk away from your computer and wedding planning when you need to focus on school.

Any one else going through or went through this??

I'm actually trying very hard to have everything planned and mostly ready to go before school starts in December.  This way I can concentrate  on school as much as possible.  I know in March it'll get nuts right before the wedding, but I'm hoping it'll only be the one month instead of the whole first 4 months!

OMG I was finishing up my Master's during wedding planning - it was challenging and stressful!!!! I graduated in August and got married in October last year! It was alot on me too cause it was a full calendar year of school straight through - no summer off nothing...it sucked!!

Plus the 550 hours of clinical totally got in the way of my wedding planning!! LOL

gosh jess- no way I could have done that! I was stressed out and it was the 1st semester of my senior year (the easiest by far...)

Hats or caps off to you! ;)

Thanks YB - I really don't know how I made it through...DH says he thinks I went partially crazy for a little while through all of it - LOL!

I couldnt finish my level4 nursing school, so I graduated as a level 3 nurse last March. To be allowed to do more medical things I decided to go back to school for another year, to "upgrade" my diploma (and hopefully have more opportunities when I will move to the US, and will get my Dutch diploma translated to US standards).

Instead of taking classes for a whole year, my teacher told me the only classes I had to follow were scheduled for Febr-June 2010. So our wedding in May was an absolute no-go. My parents and my FI were really supportive and told me we would postpone the wedding to make sure I had to stress planning the wedding, taking weeks off from work/school to get married and at the same time trying to graduate in time.

Thats basicly the way we decided to handle it.

I'm doing it right now.  It's not so bad so far.  PW has been a great break for me when school gives me a major headache.  I'm definately working on walking away when I need to study though.  I kick myself when I don't.  I know for sure that it will be more difficult but I'm ready for it!!!  School has always been my #1 priority and I will not let anything (even my own wedding) stand in the way of me becoming a nurse.  My FI understands that 100% and is so supportive!

It's definitely very tough. Luckily, our wedding isn't until Sept 2011 but I still want to start the planning process. I graduate in May of 2010 so i will have plenty of time to plan! :)

i'm doing it currently. But only a few more months (graduate in december!!). I'm kinda worried about searching for jobs while wedding planning since my wedding is in May and the job market is pretty terrible in Philadelphia, PA for GNs.
