NWR: celeb spotting

I saw Tom Hanks at an ice skating rink in Culver City. He was watching his kid skate. Totally unassuming and not calling attention to himself.

I saw Keanu Reeves years ago at a mall. I stalked him. He's even hotter in real life.

I used to see lots of celebs when I worked at a bookstore in a mall years ago. Not so many now:-(

Hello Ladies...

Like a few of the other posts above mentioned just by living in LA you see celebs out all the time at the mall, the gym (lawd knows I haven't been there in a while), the beach and so on.. I have ran into quite a few celebs back in my days :)

There is two that I never forget... 1. DH sings... Was trying to get a record deal at one point (who isn't in LA right?) anyway, he was really good friends with Michael Jackson's cousin.. He invited us to come over to the Jacksons' parents house in Encino.. I didn't get to see MJ (he wasn't there) but we did watch the Laker game with MJ's mom (who was a sweetheart) Jermaine Jackson was there.. My daughter was younger at the time about 4 or 5... Of course she asked "where's is Michael and Janet" 

2. My bff was a police officer for Van Nuys P.D. (he is now retired - I could tell you  that story on another thread - there is a reason why he is retired) Anyway, a few years ago, his friend who use to be his partner at one point bodyguard for Aresnio Hall, Magic and a couple other celebs.. We were standing outside a club (basically we couldn't get in, and was about ready to leave) Then came Arsenio Hall, Johnny Gill and friends, with his bodyguard, of course we said hi to her, told her we couldn't get in. We got in the club, bypass the line with Arsenio Hall and friends.. Had access to VIP all night, he kept offering to buy us drinks.. Mr Hall was cool, very nice guy..

Years back, I traveled to various studios in the Burbank, CA area for work. 

I met:

Donny and Marie Osmond...both incredibly sweet and friendly. 

John Lithgow...a complete JERK.  He burst my bubble because I always liked him and he turned out to be so rude.

David Spade (and the cast of 'Just Shoot Me')...super nice and really funny.

Kurtwood Smith ("Red"-dad from That 70's Show)...he was so nice and really chatted it up with me.

The most exciting celeb that I met....I'm getting excited thinking about it...are you ready?  I met George Clooney while he was at the studios filming for ER.  Yep it was about 10 years ago.  He was just as handsome in person as I imagined :)  I was so nervous and made a complete fool of myself.  Oh well.

I also had the chance to tour various sets for the TV shows taping at that time.  It was back in the day.  Third Rock From the Sun, Drew Carey Show, ER, Just Shoot Me, Boy Meets World, etc.  It was really fun :)
