NWR: God is amazing! Still need prayers though!

So the other day I posted a thread requesting prayer,which you can see here. Anyways, just as an update, my brother was flown to the hospital in Victoria, BC this morning, as the waiting list for Vancouver is quite long. He will most likely be having surgery on Fridays, as there is quite a bit of muscle/tissue damage around the C7 vertebrae (the one he broke). Of course, it is high-risk, since it's so close to the spinal cord, but should be successful. The other option is to have him wear a brace for at least 3 months. However, if he moves the wrong way in those three months, he could become a quadriplegic. Yep, pretty scary! Needless to say, our family is quite stressed out.

Anyways, my dad has been trying to figure out a way to go stay with him for the weekend. He told me earlier tonight that there was no way he could afford the flight, but he was going to have to do it anyways. So, he called his boss to ask for time off, and his boss told him that he needs to go, and to call him from the airport for his credit card number! He's going to pay for the flight there and back, and even though they're short-handed right now, he's giving him a few days off. I started crying as soon as Dad told me (and I never cry!). God is so amazing. I believe he has amazing plans for my brother, and even though we can't see why all of this is happening, He has a reason.

O wow if you never cry I'll certainly handle that for you. I missed your other post and I started to tear up when I read what your Dad's boss did. There are wonderful people out there and here is a prime example. I'm keeping you in my thoughts during this special time. Please keep us updated!

Thank you so much for the prayers, everyone! Dad got to Victoria this morning, just in time to find out that Verne won't need surgery! The fracture is stable, and he'll be wearing a neck brace for the next three months, but he's up and walking again! And, yes, he'll be wearing it for all the wedding photos (he's one of the GM), but that's perfectly fine with me. I'm just so thankful that he's going to be okay! :)

OMG.  I so agree with you.  His story will be a testimony to others.   I'm telling you.  Everything will work out and he will not be a paraplegic or quadriplegic.  He will be whole just watch the wonders of God unfold.  This story have me shivering.  Cant wait to hear this TESTIMONY love always in my prayers.
