Since some of you guys have become like an online family I thought I would share some exciting news. I think I just found my sister!! I am so excited and happy and emotional and scared that my heart is beating a mile a minute. I'm kinda freakin
out a little bit. lol I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up just in case but I can't help it.
When I was a baby my birth parents gave me up for adoption and my birth mothers mother adopted me after a lil while. So my birth mothers mom, my gamma, is my adoptive mom. Well was, she passed away when I was 17. Anyways I have grown up knowing
my birth mother and even lived with her after I turned 13 for awhile. I have 3 half sisters that I know pretty well and after I was 13 we all became very close. My birth father has a son and a daughter that I have never gotten to meet. I have spent
pretty much my entire life looking for them. I started the search 16 years ago when I was 8 years old and have been looking ever since. My mother doesn't really have any info about them though other then their names and the fact that they're older
then my oldest sister. No middle names, no birthdays, not even any ages. So I have pretty much been doing this search blind, but it has not stopped me. Whenever I have free time I send out emails to everyone 31-41 that share their names. A couple
times I have gotten replies answering yes to my questions and stringing me along and they turned out to be fakes just trying to mess with me. Because of this I have been very leary and have kinda lost some of the umpf to do it just because I can't go
through that pain again. This time though, I think it's for real. I sent out a bunch of emails yesterday and today got a reply from a girl who has my sisters name. She answered yes to the questions I asked in the email and then left me her phone
number and asked me to call her to let her know what this was all about because she was very interested. When I called I asked her a couple more questions about my mother and siblings and she got them pretty acurrate. This was 24 years ago so I
understand her forgetting about one of my sisters. We talked for a little bit and she gave me her and scotts ages and they were right where my sister thought they would be, they are 32 and 34. I then asked about her father, my sperm donor :), and she let me
know that he was in a wheelchair. I know for a fact that my birth father is in a wheelchair!!!!!!!! A lot of stuff seems to fit and she said herself that she's my sister. Apparently she was never told about me so she didn't really know that I
existed except for when she was little she found a note that had info about me in it so she kinda knew but wasn't sure. When I told her that I know this is gonna sound weird but I think i'm your sister she said that's not weird at all, how are you. She
took this so well and she's accepting of me. My biggest fear was that I would finally find my sister and brother and then they wouldn't want anything to do with me. She does though. I am praying that she is my sister and we can start to form a
relationship. She was very nice and her voice even sounded a little like mine. It was weird. I hope it's her and I can stop looking. I wish I knew of a way that I could be sure though. My birth mother knows nothing about them or the birth father so she's
no help and my sisters were all so small that they aren't going to remember anything so I guess I just gotta go with my gut. Wanna hear the funny part, she lives right here in fort wayne not even 15 minutes away from me!! M brother and birth
father all live pretty close too. I was told they lived in kentucky. I was obviously wrong. We are gonna try to get together monday or tuesday and meet. I hope she brings pictures. I have a picture of them when they were little kids so that would
help me see if it was her. I am so scared and nervous and excited. I'm so happy. I hope it's her. She said that when we meet up she'll try to get my brother to come. They aren't very close though so she doesn't know if she'll be able to. I am
trying to think of questions to ask but I don't know of any. Any suggestions?? lol Could use some advice. Thanks for listening. :)
