This is for anyone who has been on unemployment and can answer some questions, as the EDD never answers phone calls!  I went on an interview for a school secretary today, and they want to put me on substitute clerical list, does anyone know if I am called for work like 3 days a week, will all of my unemployment benefits disapear? It's very low paying but it's a foot in the door, but I can't lose all of my benefits, becuase I need the medical coverage and my benefits are the highest amount available....so I'm not sure what to do.  Anyone have any idea about this? I've checked the unemployment website and can't find any answers....TIA!

I think it's a federal program so it may be the same here, do you know how to find out this kind of info?

Im not 100% sure, but I believe that if you've worked sometime during a specific week, EDD usually don't pay you for that week as you've had some sort of income.  However, if the week after that you don't work then they'd resume your unemployment benefits...again not 100% but I think that's how it may work.

i think they just pay you the difference of your benefit less what you earned - i think!
