NWR: What is the best brand of candle?

I am throwing a Christmas party next weekend, and I want a holiday candle to put in the guest bathroom. I really want one that actually smells good as it burns, not just smells good in the jar! 

You should have seen me at Marshall's yesterday. Smelling every candle like ten times and I just could not decide!

I hands down love all Things Yankee Candle! I don't like the food smells and am not too crazy about the holiday smells either, I prefer floral or clean scents, but Yankee Candle hands down has whatever you need!!! I love Glad candles too for the bathroom. 

Yea, I was thinking Yankee candles might be a good choice! Now I have to decide what smell I actually like!! lol

I agree Yankee candles are awesome.  I promise I am not a consultant for them but if you don't have any Scentsy warmers you should really try them.  I am so in love with them.  I have several warmers and scents.  As for candles though I would definitely go with Yankee Candle.

We had a scentsy that DH's mom got us, and I agree that it was strong, but I'm really not a fan of the way they look. :( Or maybe it was the one she got us. I felt bad lol. Yea, I'll prob head to Marshall's again tomorrow and see if they have any Yankee candles!

I used to be a Yankee Candle fanatic until I was introduced to Partylyte! They are the BEST candles. They smell good when they burn and they burn clean (meaning no black soot on your jars). I also really like burning oil. That can quickly permeate a room/large area really nicely. I've heard good things about scentsy too.

I'm a huge fan of Yankee Candle and Scentsy!

As far as Yankee Candle, DH and I bought Peppermint Bark (which isn't very strong when burned) and Home for the Holidays (a typical spicy scent with a hint of something that makes it smell almost like a fire but in a good way), though some of the scents in their "Favorite Things" line are very nice (just please, please, PLEASE don't get the Schnitzel with Noodles...that's just weird...).

As far as Scentsy, they have several different warmers out there, some quite beautiful.  Their scents are amazing, too.  My favorite "go-to" scents for the holidays are Silver Bells, Christmas Cottage, Cozy Fireside, and Pumpkin Marshmallow (my students absolutely LOVE this smell!).

I found that when I burned a Mainstays candle adn a yankee candle if the same scent several people thought the Main Stays from Wal-Mart were actually Yankee.

At $5 you can get more for your house and put one in every room for the cost of one Yankee.

I do love Hazelnut Creme from Mainstays and Fresh Linen.
