Okay, so this was totally add of me, but I was just thinking (and it came from chances post that included in the title "the color purple") what would people think if we did a book club here on pw? Maybe we can choose a book, and either bi monthly, monthly or weekly come together to discuss it? We could even start with books we know we can get for free on something like the kindle store, since you can even download that for pc... But it would be a fun way to have a discussion about a book on here! What do you girls think?

EDIT: http://www.projectwedding.com/groups/boards/book-club

We have the group up and running! Please join if you are interested!

I would love that.  I have been a book nerd all of my life and very proud of it.

Me too Dreaming! Have you seen the BBC list of 100 books that "everyone should read"? Maybe we could utilize one of those lists?

I would join.  :)  I've seen that BBC list, Aggie, and I definitely wouldn't mind working my way through the books I haven't read.  I say e-books, if possible - would be so much easier to distribute on here and less expensive too.  ;)

Right? And ive got all forms of ereaders, and know which ones are compatible with regular pcs as well... Plus, a lot of those are older texts that will be on gutenburg for free if all else fails! I will go find the list now, and post it....

My only request is that I don't have to read Anna Karenina again.  Don't get me wrong I love the book though it was almost 1000 pages and just about killed me.  LOL

Great book list - I'd be interested!

LOL! I was thinking something smaller for now... perhaps Animal Farm, Olver Twist, The Lovely Bones, The Hobbit, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or Life of Pi maybe?
