I need to find an officiant that speaks Japanese and English. Since my FI is half Japanese, and his grandmother doesn't know English (many of his family members know both languages) it would be nice to have an officiant say a little of the ceremony and part of our vows in Japanese. I also think this would mean a lot to his grandmother and would be very symbolic of our families and culture coming together.

I found a Japanese Church in Walnut Creek, but they will not do weddings outside of the church, and only do weddings for members of the church =( ANy ideas on where to look?!?!

You can always have a friend or family member get ordained online http://www.themonastery.org/

that's not really an option for us. We want someone that really understand the Japanese culture and symbolism of certain things in both Cultures. Most of his family that speaks both languages don't know any of that stuff. But it's important to us
