Are you inviting your officiant to the rehearsal? To the ceremony? If yes on either did you address it to him/her as well as their spouse?

we plan on inviting the priest (he's not married) to the wedding reception but not the RD - we also want him to say a blessing before we all eat...

i wondered about this too.

ended up inviting both to both... still haven't heard if both are coming to the reception, but we wanted her to say the blessing as well.

if it's a priest it's different than an officiant in my book, becuase i feel like it's kind of more expected with a priest (old school)

we addresed our tinvites to the chaplain and his wife. we invited them to all events... they are more than likely not going to go to the rehersal dinner but it is a nice gesture if you can spare a few more dollars and if you would be comfortable with them there.

we're inviting him and his wife to both, but they were already on the guest list...long time friends of FI's parents...our officiant is a judge....
