Officient Cost

I'm in the process of researching officiants and am wondering what the average cost is. I'd just like to get an idea of what I'm finding is high, low or average. I know it'll depend on where the wedding is (in my case, Fullerton, CA), but I'd like some sort of jumping off point.

We spent $400 in Northern CA and that was "mid-range to low". Our original officiant was $150 but he didn't quite work out for us.

Mine is $500 in LA

Wow!  Here in Tennessee it seems to be around $250.  (as high as $400 though)

We're actually hoping a good friend of our will marry us- we'll pay for him to be ordained (which online we've found can be done for around $50)

I'm not in CA, but where I am, I found some for $500 and up.

We ended up splurging and are spending $800.  BUT, he was exactly what we were looking for and talked to us like a bride and groom and NOT a business client whereas the others have :) 

We spent $350 in Temecula and he was GREAT!

HOLY COW!! Didn't expect that much money, since we are getting married in Idaho we found a family friend to do it...

Ours is $300 and we're getting married in Punta Cana, DR.
