Alright ladies!

I've been stalkin this group lately hoping to get some motivation.... IT WORKED. I joined the gym. I have roughly 13.5 months to my wedding and I am going to get moving and lose this weight!!   I need to lose about 50 lbs to be perfectly honest, but I would be happy with 35-40. But I need some accountability!!

I am on a mission to SLIM DOWN!

Hi and welcome! You can definitely do it. What is your game plan?  I am 5 months out and trying to get back on the wagon after falling off from family stress (i.e. parents breaking up). If you want an accountability partner, I am looking for one too. I need to lose about 25, which will be tough, but again it can be done.  Good luck and keep coming back for support and advice.

KC that would be awesome! I am still determining what I am going to do. I really just need to get active again. I don't eat bad most of the time, but I am a stress eater so I need to keep healthy snacks around and move my booty!  I just want to get close to the weight I was in high school, becuase I gained way too much during college!

Yay! Let's do it. I weighed myself this morning and was not happy, so that is my starting point.

I am the same way; total stress eater and drinker. My FI and I are not drinking anymore and stopped eating cheese. We are really good about no fried food and fast food already, so it is really just cheese and desserts that we needed to get rid of.

As far as healthy snack, I am a huge fan of fruit. I buy grapes, wash and pre-bag them every week for work. Plus, I buy apples and take them to work so there is always a healthy option in front of me. Plus, tons of water and I am off of soda. I still drink a non-fat Latte every day, but I need my caffeine. It's all about the little changes. I am also a snacker in the evening, so not having anything unhealthy in the house is key. That is where the grapes and occasional popcorn come in.

Do you go to a gym?  In the beginning it is all about just moving. Walking on the treadmill or doing the elliptical and slowly building up to incline walking and harder and faster levels.  If you want advice on this and diet, I have worked with a trainer who has given me fantastic tips on cardio.

Hey Shalon, we are on the same track.  50 lbs in less then a year now.  I am down 10, so 40 to go. Best tips so far, carry veggies that dont need a fridge in your purse (carrots/celery/peppers etc), leave money at home so you can't buy snack, park in hte back of the parking lot and walk quickly to the door at school or work and stop eating when you are full or not hungey, not when your plate is empty.  Oh and check in often.  :)  So glad you joined.
