I've just made a Christmas pudding (should have done it yesterday to be 'traditional' but hey-ho!), anyway I really don't like baking!!
I'm not good at sticking to rules and measurements, my poor kitchen scales didn't know what was going on (I've never used them!). This pudding better be good - I don't even like it but FI says its the only thing he's going to miss about being in England at Christmas so I thought I'd be nice to him!!

Urgh - give me random throwing ingredients in a bowl to make supper any day! Lol

Awww!  That's too bad, because I love baking!  I find the better I get at baking the less I rely on recipes.  Especially when you start learning that climate (dryness/humidity) and elevation (baking time) play a huge role in recipes (add more/less liquid, higher temp, longer cook time, etc) it is much easier!

Thanks athena. I love cooking but baking just doesn't give me the same satisfaction, maybe it's because I don't have much of a sweet-tooth??
Luckily my sister is the complete opposite so between us we can make great meals and deserts!! Lol

I can't bake worth a you know what .I can make good cornbread though !

Ditto on Becca! I love baking! I love the fact you have to be accurate. I like following directions when I bake. I think that's the reason I don't really like cooking. haha

i hateeeee bakinggg!! id like it alot more if i was good at it. but i cant, no matter how hard i try, bake. everything is over or undercooked and too salty or too sweet. the only thing i can confidently bake, is those peanutbuter cookies with a hersey kiss in the middle.. and i get the betty crocker BAG of cookie mix, so all i add is water haha. 

luckily i can cook really well, so when DH asks me for cookies or anything in the baking department, he bakes them or just buys them because i try to avoid it like the plague. i even burnt my daughters 1st birthday cupcakes. WHO RUINS A CUPCAKE?! me.
