We are looking for an outdoor venue anywhere between santa barbara and santa monica that allows firepits/campires. Ideally it would be on a beach, but I know a lot of la county beaches do not allow fires. We really want to roast s'mores! Does anoybody know of a location? Thanks a bunch!

Leo Carillo State Park does according to their website - http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1029

Emma Woods State Beach may also have them - http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1029

you have to make a reservation for a campsite, etc. - I'd check with the park ranger as to availability on the firepits, they may be "first come, first served" basis.

Edit - just read that Leo Carillo does not allow weekend weddings in summer months, so you may not wish to consider that one.  Would look through the state parks website on all the beaches, and you may also wish to consider a "Beach Officiant" who would be more familar with the beaches and would know if you could have a firepit.

Hotel Maya in Long Beach has firepits but not sure it it's probably far for you. If you are looking into an outdoor venue maybe something could be worked out where you provide a station to roast smore's. You can DIY just need to make sure the venue is ok with it.

Here's a website on ALL beaches to checkout - http://www.beachcalifornia.com/beach-bonfires-california.html   - lists the info on the fire pits.
