We are having a Welcome BBQ. Our wedding is labor day weekend. The BBQ will be on Saturday. I know that almost every park is going to be crowded. FI wants to have the BBQ at bear mountain park because he says its much nicer than any park in the city. I think it is totally to far. What park would you suggest?

where will the wedding be?  I dont think Bear Mountain is too far from the city.  I agree that its a very beautiful park and even the road trip up there is scenic and pleasant.   

The wedding is in throggs neck, most oot guest are staying in manhattan

There's a really nice park on the Queens side of the Throggs Neck Bridge, Fort Totten.  It's on the water and has great views.

liberty state park in Jersey City allows BBQ but it's def going to be crowded as well for labor day weekend.  I think all city parks would be.
