Does anyone have experience with moving to a different country with your pets?  We have 2 dogs and a cat and I'm so worried about moving with them!

My FH brought the dog back from Okinawa.  He was cleared by the US Vet prior to leaving, so it was actually extremely easy.  I've heard it's heading overseas where it's a little more difficult.  But, I've been told, if you're living on base (at least for the time while the animal would otherwise have to be quarantined), you can keep them with you on base.

Hope that helps. :)

A friend of mine has shipped her pets from the u.s. to germany and back twice they just have to have an up to date health certificate and vaccine records plus most military bases require pets to be microchipped. It can be a bit of a pain but it's definitely not impossible. Depending on the country you may have to quarantine them as well. I would check on base they can give you all the necessary info. I think about that all the time too  but my friend said it wasn't any more difficult than traveling with them within the u.s. her dog went in the cargo hold and the cat went with her in carry on.

The rules will vary depending on the country- but it is definitely very doable :)
