Peridress is an over-seas operation located in China. They make replica of designer dresses from pictures. Therefore, it is not likely going to be an exact copy but rather interpretative. Peridress has a community forum site http://www.peridress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15 which contains as many negative as positive.
Most of the complaint seems to be about custom fitting and customer service surrounding returns. You cannot expect the same level of customer service as ordering from Pottery Barn for instance. But the general consensus is that if
you wait about 4-6 weeks, you will get your dress. There are some complaint about quality also.
My conclusion is that it is a crap shoot. I think there are many variables such as complexity of design of your dress and the skill-level of particular seamstress who is assigned to your dress.
I purchased my ceremony dress from Bridepower.com which sells real designer dresses at discount. I bought a beautiful $4800 Ulla dress for $200 including shipping but that is not usual. I checked the website periodically
for the past year to get this kind of deal. Problem with Bridepower is that their dresses are quality but mostly unimaginative.
So, I took a chance and purchased a dress for my reception from Peridress. I do not expect to receive for at least a month. Instead of custom measurements, I requested a standard dress size. This way, I will have it fitted
locally. I chose a very bold design to contrast my elegant simple dress from bridepower. I figured that simple design require more precise stitching and superior quality of fabric.
Hope this helps.
