love the idea of city walk.  there's a lot happening there.  we took ours at venice beach.  cool spot and all, only thing is everything is kind of spread out.  so depending on your photographer, if they give you a lot of time (3 or 4 hr session) then pick a couple places, but if you're limited, i think city walk could give you a lot of color & variation.  plus you dont see many ppl do it there.  make sure to bring your outfit changes.

Also Hollywood and Highland center by the Kodak theater (but you would need a special permit)

yes..they allow e-sessions at city walk. In fact furiousphotographers did a session at city walk.

What type of scenery do you want for your e-session?

some ideas:

  • Downtown LA
  • Art district (downtown LA)
  • Disney Center Music Hall
  • Union Station
  • Griffith Park
  • Hollywood Walk of fame
  • Sunset Strip
  • UCLA
  • USC
  • The bridge between DTLA and East LA..forgot what its called, but ive seen great e-session there
  • Marina Del Rey
  • Manhattan Beach

Your photographer would have to have a permet for Mission in in Riverside.

The Getty or The Getty Villa has some great views of LA or the Ocean.

Santa Monica Pier with the Rides and under the pier is a great spot.

If your photog keeps it low key you could shoot at Universal City Walk and be fine.
