I am currently on deployment in Afghanistan. Our wedding will take place 3 months after we return home.  I have a wedding coordinator who is taking care of everything (one stop shop). I am moreso worried about whether or not 3 months is enough time to tie any loose ends, find and get fitted for a dress, check out the wedding venue, etc??? Any suggestions of things that I can take care of while I am away?

I planned our wedding while he has been deployed but we have till May. I suggest trying to buy a gown off the rack so you just need to get the alterations done for it. If you can I'd take a weekend to go to your venue and discuss your concerns as soon as you can when you get back.

I know it's tough to do things when away lets us know if you need any help!

I threw together the wedding from my first marriage in under 2 weeks. It was very small, but my ex and I were happy with it. Both my brothers and sister-in-laws threw together MUCH bigger weddings in several months. One was a fancier church wedding while the other was a large outdoor wedding held at a state park. Both had large crowds. So, yes, I think you can do it in the three months you have at home before the wedding. It's great that you already have a wedding coordinator so you can get a jump start on things! 

I think 3 months is enough time. I think buying a dress off of the rack would be the best option, but you could also start looking online at dresses you like narrow it down to a few to try on while you're hear. You can work on your music list, songs you want played at the ceremony/reception and songs for walking down the aisle etc. you can also set up appointments for cake tasting and visiting the venue. If you are choosing the design of the cake start looking online for inspiration send pics to bakeries to get quotes.

Those are the few things I can think of right now, especially if you have a full planner who will do most of everything else.
