I initially wanted to do this also. I think platinum goes well with any flower choice, it's such a versatile color. I was considering silver w/ blue flowers ( probably hydrangeas and delphinium). I think hydrangeas have a very romantic feel, as do roses. In the picture below, the larger blue flowers are the hydrangeas and the smaller blue flowers are the blue delphinium.

you could do yellow:
I know this is a weird picture, but something like this:
Orange is a nice offsetting color
To really get a summer feel, I would do something like this:
