I'm toying with the idea of starting a little business and opening an Etsy store or a website to sell Plus Size items that are hard to find elsewhere.  For example, my mom makes really cute custom aprons, and I'm going to learn how to make them.  But I know when I had her make one for my SIL as a Christmas gift last year, she was so excited to have it because we made it Plus Sized and she couldn't find them anywhere.

So I was wondering...what items do you have a hard time finding in Plus Sizes?  (Nothing too extravagant like wedding dresses....I'll never be able to sew THAT well!  LOL)

Garters! I had to make my own because I couldn't find one that fit my thighs!

Boleros are hard to find too and a lot of women want them not just for special occasions.

I can't think of any more right now but I will think some and get back to you!

lingerie and robes with the bride thing on them. Even Large were too small on me.

I second the robes. Even plain ones would be nice. And necklaces. Not necessarily a "plus size" thing, but come on, too many cute necklaces (the kind that aren't pendants) just don't fit around my gigantic neck.

I was just thinking, too...what about plus size maternity clothes?  Those are pretty hard to find, I think.

Yeah, you should make them with custom belly options! I know some women like under the belly or mid belly but I like the kind with the stretch panel all the way up to my bra! 

I'm just brainstorming right now, but I sure would love it if I could come up with something that would make enough money to keep from having to go get a punch-the-clock job somewhere.  I'm spoiled the flexibility of being a stay-at-home mom/wife now, and I don't want to give it up!

That would be awesome!  Garters are a must - they are simple to make, but I ended up having to make my own.

Definitely bridal clothes...I have always wanted a bridal sweatsuit and the biggest I've seen one is a size 12-14...definitely not big enough for me...but yeah t's and tanks because some of the xxl on other sites are like a size 12 and that's just not right!

Oh Im so excited!!! Great minds think alike I was on etsy and was bummed because I couldnt find any plus side bridal tees.
