POLL: Honeymoon with/without the kids?

So my dh and I are discussing our moneymoon plans last night. We want a mini moon (staymoon?) something low cost, close to home for maybe a week, we want to take a big honeymoon/vacation later on. Problem we have an almost 4 year old boy and a baby girl on the way(due january) my mom and family members live close by, i dont know it just dont feel right, maybe i am worried because the kids will be so young by the time of the honeymoon. We really need our "Us" time. I know the kids will be safe with my mom, i guess i am just a worried mom. So what do you think honeymoom with or without the kids. Any input, ideas, will be appreciated.

We are having a pre-wedding honeymoon at DisneyWorld in February for us and our two boys and then a long weekend (3 or 4 nights) somewhere like San Fransisco for just the two of us a couple of weeks after the wedding (once all our guests from England have gone home).

I hate leaving the boys, and they are only 4 so I'd feel bad going away for 7+ days without them, I totally get where you're coming from!!!

My youngest will be 18 when I get married and I don't want to leave him. Boy I know the feeling, this is said but true. I am very close to my children. I'm thinking about taking all of them with us.

we didnt bring our daughter! shes 1 (20 months.. was 18 at the time) and we left her with my mom. we only went on a 4 day minimoon though. since she was born, we have gone away on 5 - long weekend trips, always leaving her with one of our parents. trust me, its scary leaving your baby home but as long as you know theyre in good hands, its sooooo needed and worth it!!. dh and need our getaways bc even tho we already have a great relationship, it really helps us to rejuvinate it and feel like "us" for a few days. we day drank on a tuesday on our hm, and then napped till dinner time..... that freedom in and of its self was worth it! haha

We're looking forward to having a vacation alone.

Emmm.. Its your honeymoon not family vacation. I understand its difficult to leave your kids alone. But since you are going on short honeymoon, I am sure that would not be a problem for your mother.
