we try to as much as possible and got more strict when i became pregnant. i didnt want to feed my baby junk filled with antibiotics. we buy organic if it comes from an animal and try to go as much as we can with the fruits and veggies. its pricey but worth it.

We buy organic when we can.  As far as produce, meat, and dairy, we do the most we can afford, and follow a list fairly close to Jenzie's about what organics are "important."

For other items (cereal, baking stuff, etc.) we buy what we can, and don't fret when we don't.

I care most about the meat and dairy personally.

Look into a farm co-op in your area... Here (NH so farms are pretty plentiful) you can buy into a farm for a certain ammount of money every month and then pick up (or some deliver) produce and meat.

I used to nanny for a family that ate all organic food. I did all of their grocery shopping and will say they had a much higer grocry bill then my family every time. While I try to buy organic food you have to make sure it is within your famiy's budget.

We get our meat from a local farm shop that doesnt use hormones and we grow a lot of our own fruit & veggies, its only things like bananas & pineapple that I usually have to buy and if i dont see organic ones in the store I'm not worried because we eat so much that is hormone free/home grown

We try too but it is expensive. We do only drink organic milk because of the taste.

I try to get most of our vegetables from the farmer's market. I also try to do all of our meats/poultry/fish organic. I only drink coconut milk and in terms of yogurt, we only buy Greek yogurt (the Greek brand, not the Yoplait imitation stuff, lol).

My total goal is to be buying everything organic/locally grown. Right now we're in the process of transitioning so I do as much as I can. When I'm not working and can be home to cook, it'll be much easier. Unfortunately because I don't get home until after 6, we tend to get pretty lazy with dinner.
