so i used to take are prescription, Natelle Plus (with the DHA caplet), but last time, when I went to pick it up at Walgreens, they said my insurance changed what I have to pay, went from $20 to $45!

so starting tonight, i'm switcthing to NatureMade Prenatals and Expecta DHA caplets....should be the same, but i know before, i had no nausea or anything....i usually take them right before bed...

what do you ladies TTC and preggers and/or nursing take?

The prenatals my OB/GYN wrote for were like $40 a month! There is no way I'm paying that I'm not even pregnant! I take a generic store brand kind and an extra folic acid on top of it.

My doc told me to take Womens One a Day prenatals. Its two pills, the vitamin and then the DHA supplement. Its about $15 at my local walmart for a 30 day supply. I havent had any problems with them.

Ok, so this may be a stupid question, but what is the benefit of a prenatal over a regular women's vitamin?  Last time I bought vitamins (just otc ones at walmart), I compared the labels, and the women's vitamin has a lot more in it than the prenatal.  I know that women who are ttc are supposed to have more folic acid, so I take I take extra of that, but why are the prenatals better if they have less in them?

I take an over the counter brand that has a seperate capsule for DHA. It's First Response I believe. I'll check it out when I get home tonight!

I take the Target brand, which compare to Stuart Prenatal. I think that they are excellent and they have a lot of Folic Acid.
