POLL: Shellac nails for wedding day.

Yes or No? What has your experience been?

Is that different than accrylic?  I got accrilics the first time around and they were great until we went on the honeymoon and then they just got in the way

Are Shellac nails like gel polish? 

My sister in law just did it for a wedding she was in a few weeks ago and one my girls friends swares by it. I will probably be doing for my wedding but i think it only comes in colors so if you watned to do french tips you will have to go the old fashion route.

@nelly - it is different then accrylic, it is like a juiced up version of regular nail polish.  It doesnt crack, chip or fade until you decide to remove it.

@starbux - Shellac is a little different then gel - its more of a hybrid, gels have been getting alot of bad press in the news because of its application and removal products

I always learn beauty stuff on PW first! After my search, I am quite intrigued. I somehow don't think Maine will be up to date with this though...

I want to do a trial first and then take it from there. I am not a fan of accrylic because of the damage that it does to you nails but I just may have to do it on my big day.

Nancy we have this in Dover, Come visit for drinks and we will get shellaced!
