I am a self-admitted post-holiday scavenger!! Since I have known for the last year that we would be buying our home this year, I have been racing to the store the day after each holiday to snag some deeply discounted holiday decorations to use to decorate our home!!

My  FI think its crazy and characteristic of a hoarder. LOL

Just wondering if anyone else does the same thing!!

We don't have the space to store decor for every holiday so we mainly stick to decorating for Christmas and we always hit up the after Christmas Decor. Sometimes we sore, sometimes we dont, but it's always fun!

OMG!!! I am sooooo glade you ladies are apart of my life and appreciate the love for a good discount. Post Holiday Scavenging is probably one of my most treasured joys throughout the year. hahaha.

FYI: If any of you have a Beverlys craft store near you... here is the biggest tip!! New Years morning, all of their Christmas items go on sale for 90% OFF!!! That's right ladies. 90 freaking percent off!

I got 2 sets of a pair of toparies.... (the tree's on each side of the big Christmas tree)

They were originally $250 EACH SET!!! I snagged them for $25 each set on New Years Morning.

I got this gold leaf wreath. Originally $87. I got it for $8.70

The pre-lite Garland was originally $65 each. Got em for $6.50

The pre-lite Wreaths were $25 each. Got em for $2.50 each

The trick is, to wake up super early and stand in line about 30 minutes before they open. Which is usually at 8am. While standing in front, peek through the windows and take note of the big ticket items. As soon as they open, go straight to the items and snag them. Majority of the shoppers will browse before they decide to put it in the shopping cart. Before they know it, you are already at the check stand purchasing all the good stuff. One year I purchased over $1300 worth and walked out only pay $130. IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!! A MAJOR RUSH!! haha

How about you ladies... any tricks or good stores you can reccommend when after holiday shopping.

P.S. I LOVE THIS POST! Thank APM!! =)
