Preserving the bridal bouquet?

It is pretty expensive and my flowers were not the type you could just dry. Callas and irises don't dry nicely. What abattyref is describing looks beautiful but is at least $200. GL!

Well, it's true, what my friend did with her bouquet is really friggin expensive. Her mom did it for her as a wedding gift. Here's the website: http://www.thefloralportrait.com/

Her mom said that the FedEx overnight shipping to Texas alone was $100 from the Bay Area. (you have to ship it overnight) She did the 8x10 silver frame with her invitation and the total was about $310. She also said that the white flowers did yellow a bit and it took over a month for the finished product.

I like some of the designs on the website, but it's definately not going to fit in my budget.

I hung it upside down and hope it will look good. Right now, the blue irises turned white, so it looks like an all-white bouquet. It has only been 2 weeks so we'll see how it goes...

I am saving mine!! Heller & Reid has some beautiful options.. I also sent my husband's flower.. it got TRAMPLED but they said they can fix it ! I also sent a orange rose from the bouquet my husband gave me on our wedding day.. I am glad I saved it.. I save EVERYTHING =P

I have heard Heller and Reid is very good, but pricey.

I recently went to a bridal show & there was a vendor there that did floral preservation; not the freeze dry type, it was pressed and framed. It looked really beautiful, but of course really expensive. I'd rather do this then have the bouquet in a huge bubble frame. The colors of all the flowers seemed to hold very well. If I have a little extra money at the time, I would so love to do this with my bouquet, or at least w/ a couple of flowers from my bouquet framed w/ our invitation.
