Hey ladies, I dont get a chance to get on here very often so I dont really know anyone yet, but I need some help! I can't decide how my attendants should walk down the isle.

We have.....

1 Maid of honor, 5 Bridesmaids and a junior BM                                                                            ;   A Best man, 4 groomsmen (1 is my brother) and 2 Ushers (also standing in as groomsmen to make it even)

My concern is that the junior BM is my little sister who is 13. Is it weird to have her walk with an older groomsmen or our brother? To me it seems odd, but I really dont know? If she walks alone, then we'll have an extra groomsmen. I just can't decide what to do.

I would love any ideas!!! I'm open to anything!

I'd have your bro walk with her down the aisle..I don't think that's weird at all.

I'm sure there are a million ways to handle this, but when I was a Jr. BM, neither of the Jr. BMs had partners. So I don't think it would look weird to have her walking alone. I think traditionally the MOHs process alone, while the BMs walk with their partners. This is because the Best Man stays with the groom at the altar, while the other groomsmen escort the bridesmaids. You'd end up having 1 groomsmen walk 2 bridesmaids, but it's a lot more common now, so no one would think it was weird. I don't know if I've ever seen ushers process in a wedding, but hey, I'm sure you wouldn't be the first!

First, don't feel the need to "even it out".  It is actually very common these days to have uneven wedding parties.  If you really need it to be symmetrical for pictures or what not, it is fine, but not necessary at all.  I had two guys and three girls on my side; he had four guys.  I feel like it was just fine.

As far as processionals go, I have never walked with anyone in any wedding I have been in.  Either all the guys have walked out with the groom at once, or they have gone down individually before the BM and MOH.  That way, the BM get all the fun of their walk with the bouquet in all its shining glory.

If you mean the recessional at the end, don't worry too much about this as well.
I had each girl walk out with two guys on their arms.  I have walked down with other girls, two girls with one guy, two guys, and alone at the end of ceremonies. Have the people up there that are meaningful to you and just make the rest happen how it needs to.  Keep in mind, all attention will be on you.  As long as you have something planned and organized, no one will notice!

My 16 yr. old niece was our Jr.BM and our sides were off too.

Anyway, the girls walked down the aisle alone (GM were already there waiting- came from the side) and after the wedding the last GM walking out had her and another BM on each arm- it was super cute and worked out fine!

- HMM :)

Hmmm, maybe I will have the girls walk by themselves or one girl walk with two guys. Thanks everyone!
