Do you think programs are necessary? Or is it a good opportunity to save money by not having them?

Eh, you don't need them...unless you're planning on having a long Catholic ceremony?

They are nice but I would not spend a bunch of money with them. My friend made programs at Kinko's and printed them on paper in her wedding colors. It was nice and only $0.03 per program.

My friend made my programs on her computer and we printed them for a pretty reasonable price at Kinko's, but if I had it to do all over again, I would skip them altogether. I thought they were more trouble than they were worth!

I don't ever read them.

Not necessary. They always end up in the trash or lost in luggage.

If you want programs then I suggest making a few nice ones for yourself to keep, and doing the rest at Kinko's.

Don't they have some momento value, for you and your family?

If so, a few nice programs as keepsakes might be worth their weight in gold.

I like programs, but to have rhem the program does requie I buy all my invite paper from a wholesaler online...

$120 should buy me paper for (atleast 150 ea. w/ left over paper):

Invitations w/ inner and outter envelopes
Response Postcards

Programs (folded)

Escort Cards (Name Cards)
Table Tents
Favor Tags

AND

Thank you postcards

Granted that does not include the vellum or embellishments but I think if I spend another $75-$100 for vellum (its EXPENSIVE), ribbon, & glue then that's a good deal...

plus as I said there will be left overs, I am purchasing boxes of 250 and only need 100-150 SO I can use the left overs for other party invites or homemade x-mas cards.

That's the plan anywayz LOL!

oh yeah, plus I think its a nice way to acknowledge people if you get volunteers, sponsers, or Padrinos Y Madrinas (as we call them)... and I plan on adding the puzzle thing as entertainment to buy time while we do pictures :) -meoc

we've decided not to due them due to the short length of the ceremony and the additional cost.
