what's your fav thing and least fav thing about marrying/being married to a military man?

for me, fav is that i'm so proud of him and the career he has chosen, and i love all the wonderful AF friends/family we have

least fav is that the AF doesn't care WHAT you have planned, it's their way or the highway.  we lost a groomsman in the wedding less than 2 months before the wedding bc the AF said a wedding wasn't a good enough excuse for him to miss a class.  :(

I love the stability of the military and how well they take care of not only their soldiers but families as well and I love the commaderie amongst the soldiers and families it's the whole "we're in this together" mindset. I'm also so proud of him for going for what he's dreamed of and he says it's easier to go for it now that he has someone who's behind him 110%

The worst part is the long periods of seperation and knowing that as bad as he wants you to come first the military will always come first for as long as he's in and what they say goes.

I love the prospect of traveling with the one person I love and meeting new people and seeing new places. I love how hurleygirl put it, knowing we're all "in this together." I love calling him my soldier.

I hate the unpredictability that comes with scheduling, and of course, being away from him.

I love that he has a job that is so full of integrity and pride. Not many people can be as proud of their FI's/DH's as we can.

I hate war :(

I hate the fear and the not knowing that is involved with the deployments. The distance is not fun either, but it is not knowing if he is ok that is really terrible. People always say that they know what I am going through, because their DH travels for work- but there is no comparing traveling around the state for meetings to patrolling the streets of Baghdad.

lol true blue your hilarious. thats how i feel all the time hahaha

Pros: the stability in an economy like this. i actually like moving around even though right now im 5000 miles from home. ive met a lotttttttt of awesome people because of the military and moving around

cons: and i know people might hate one me about this first one but, im completely pacifist, lucky my husbands job will probably never send him into war directly. it was crazy to everyone i know that i even started dating a military man, but you cant help who your destined for. i love the man, not the job.      other cons: the sperations, the feeling of being stuck (geographically, financially sometimes), how doing ANYTHING is SO DIFFICULT! whether it be trying to get something at PSD or on base or even trying to do things on days hes SUPPOSE to be off! why does there always have to be so much PAPERWORK for EVERYTHING???? and of course the not knowing of his schedual. i hope this deployment doesnt get extended, i hope hes home for christmas. i hope i dont have to reschedule/delay our wedding... AGAIN (it would be the 3rd time)
