They are currently having a buy one bottle get the second for 5 cent sale. I'm under the impression that they are going to be ending this sale in a few weeks. Hopefully if your venue doesn't have a corkage fee, this would be a great way to reduce costs.

Great deals, we bought 36 bottles of red and white wine for about 1/2 half off. Only bad thing is our venue charges corkage of $10/bottle. So In the end it's not like saving on the sale.

my venue charges $15/bottle for corkage. that really hurts! does anyone have any recommendation on a good red wine that's on the BevMo's 5 cent sale?

Suprisingly, Little Penguin has pretty decent wine for under $10/bottle. I think their Shiraz, at least, is in the sale. Also in the sale is the Michael Pozzan Cabernet. I think that runs around $15/bottle.

Wow thanks so much! I'll definitely check it out. My venue charges $25.00 a corkage fee, but it's per table instead of per bottle. =P

"Great Success"! I just bought 11 cases of different wine for $655. The original price would have been around $1100 without the 5 cent deal. I still have to buy beer and hard alcohol, but that's another story.
