5 Big Ticket Wedding Items You Need From Your Registry

Long gone are the days of fancy China and flatware. These are the big-ticket items people are putting on their registries today.

Forget modern. This is just tacky and classless.

gosh I would NEVER ask for a big screen TV/blue ray/diamond watches!! AAH

I did ask for a Lladro figurine and I felt bad putting it on there but it's something I know we'll keep forever...not something I'd replace when newer technology came out (like in a year?!) or something so frivolous.  Ahh.

oh my wow that's insane. I feel bad asking people to gift us towels and dishes. I agree with birdfan, that's tacky and in my opinion rude!!

BIG NO NO!

ok..I'm a little mixed about the matching watches...but I think a lot of this stuff is great.  First, to have a voice for our FI's...what a great way to get them into registering.  It's kinda unfair that they have to get excited about picking out towels.  Second, I've seen people register for $1000 pot sets...so why not a tv or a camcorder to capture all your memories.  This is one of the reasons I was considering registering at Target too.  I'd rather this than some Chna that will only be taken out once a year!

not at all..I want to ask for things we need for our homes

I don't feel bad asking for towels/kitchen stuff etc since we have hand-me-downs from grandparents to parents etc...like our couch is a few months older than I am...my towels from target when we went shopping for my dorm in 2003...we own one potholder that seriously burns you if you don't fold it over twice to use.  All the stuff for the house I can't afford along with med school tuition!!

And...I made Thanksgiving dinner last year and we ate off of plastic, palm-tree target plates...mortifying.

wow - I didn't ask for any of those things - I think I would have been embarrassed to put them on our registry!
