I've already practiced it and it's not too hard.  I found another post where the bride ran the envelope through the printer and printed it in a very light gray, then traced over it.  Seems like a great idea for those of us with terrible handwriting that can't keep a straight line!

I found another clever way to print calligraphy addressed envelope that looks custom made. I purchased metallic envelopes (from pocketsandfolds.com)  and printed the addressed from my canon inkjet. The trick is the metallic envelope has a sheen coat on it therefore the ink will not dry. the second step is for you to sprinkle some embossing powder on and viola you have a custom made embossed envelope.

I LOVE calligraphy!

My fiance thought it was an "unnecessary expense" so we decided to compromise. Silly boys :)

We had our place cards and invitations done by a calligrapher, but we were able to find a place online (Bachcroft) that printed all of our guests names onto clear address labels for about $40! Luckily they offered a typestyle that looks almost exactly like what is on our invitations.

I highly recommend that every couple with a budget check them out.

I would love to be able to do this.  It would save a lot of money.

Tracing over a font is a brilliant idea!

I would love to do this but will it still look great if you're left handed?
