I absolutely LOVE terrariums and the idea of using them for Centerpieces. I suggested this to a friend for her wedding, and also suggested having a raffle to see who gets to take them home, as they are alive and, with proper care, can
last for years (If you like this idea, be sure to print out instructions on how to care for the terrariums to give with them).
I had planned of making a bunch with my neice this summer as a fun project for us :)
If anyone here planes on making them, just be sure you you do a little research, make sure you choose the right plants for the right container...I personally love the succulents, if you use these be sure NOT to over water! use a spray
bottle to water and just wet the surface. Over watering is, often times, the downfall of terrariums seeing as how they don't have drainage, they are also pron to fungus growth. Choose an open container and make sure you use a Charcoal "cactus
mix" and not regular dirt if you plan on using succulents in your terrarium. I didn't read the DIY instructions so excuse me if any of this was said =oP

Some inspiration for you:

Remember, you can make a terrarium in just about any clear container and HomeGoods has Tons of cheap containers that can work well, also check thrift stores and flea markets. I would mix different containers together to add interest
(maybe 3 on one table in differant heights)...Or just one really big one...Orchids are air plants and can work well for a terrarium...so long as it doesn't get to humid. Some tips for you gals to play with, hope this was helpful ;)
