my sister in law gave me the idea to do cake for the center pieces so that way we can save on centerpieces and have a little two tier cake for us to cut into. I think that's my plan!

my cousin recently got married and they decided to do edible fruit arrangments as the centerpieces and they had a chocolate fountain off to the side by their cake table. It was such a cute idea and everyone loved getting to dip their own fruits for dessert!

My husband and I had a long-distance courtship so I used planters shaped like old-time bicycles.  I put a white pumpkin in the basket and tied a decorative ribbon around the top of the basket ... suitable for our October wedding.  I also named the tables after traveling songs.  It was inexpensive and easy.

I had a friend who was wonderful enough to grow my a garden of bright colorful flowers that were natural and varied ( so not roses and formed planned boquets) and we made centerpieces out of them. It went very well with my happy free summer floral theme!
