I'm doing a movie night at my house two days before the wedding.  I invited the girls to come over in their PJ's and bring their favorite movie.  I'll providing drinks in customized wine glasses and a whole bunch of yummy deserts and popcorn.  It's a slightly cheaper way of doing it, but very personalized and intimate!

We're going to have dinner and drinks soon... can't wait to get all the girls together! Closer to the date we'll probably do something more intimate, love frassie's idea of a movie night!

We're also having a wedding party BBQ in a couple of weeks, it's a fun group so we're really looking forward to it!

I'm taking my bridesmaids to the Waldork Astoria in NYC for a weekend in May of 2011!...I can't wait, I want to have a pole dancing class on Friday night, bridesmaid lunch on Saturday, plan for them to take an aerial dance class Saturday morning and have my bachelorette night on the town Saturday evening...nothing but shenanigans all weekend

My girls and I are having a weekend getaway at a cottage on the lake. Friday night catch up and relaxing down on the water Saturday, then Saturday night bachelorette party. I am so looking forward to it!!

All great ideas that I would love to try, but if I had a quarter for everytime I heard a co-worker, business associate, or friend say "Yes I love her and she's a great friend, but as if my summer weekends weren't busy and fleeting enough now I've got to spend an entire one taking pole dancing classses and ooh-ahhing about the start of her new life".  Just remember one woman's retreat is another woman's obligation, so go easy on them! :)
