Try discount sites for booking and flash deals. Also you can sign up for a registry on some travel sites such as Liberty Travel and have money put tward your honeymoon by friends and family. You can also add on special perks to the registry such as spa massages, jet skis, etc. I had a friend do this and the majority of her honeymoon was paid for

Cruises tend to be the most budget friendly IF you do not eat at the specialty restraunts and drink TOO much alcohol.

Having been to Hawaii twice by plane and Bermuda twice by cruise ship and Montreal by car.

The one that was the MOST relaxing and the most fun was the cruise. I will NEVER go to Hawaii again and you can forget about me driving more than 4 hours to any place.

I live in the Northeast and I took a cruise out of Boston which meant no Air Travel to pay for either.

The Cruise also included a number of shows and on board activities from wine tasting and the Chocolate Buffet to how to do Irish Step dancing. Each cruise had its own theme and that is what helped us pick the week we went. We chose Irish Week.

For those of us with Kids a number of cruise lines offer "DAYCARE" age specific. So, no they are not at your hip the whole time. My kids loved it.

We went on Norweigan and LOVED the FREESTYLE Cruising. That meant we did not HAVE to pick a time to eat NOR were we assigned who to sit with.

I really enjoyed the cocktail hour with the ship's captain.

Anyway, something to consider.

we have a small budget for the honeymoon, and are thinking about a roadtrip, or a staycation. also any cruise with a daycare will be great for us, because we have small kids
