What i'm doing is having my guests bring non perishable food items and then donating them to my local food bank. I'm putting something on my wedding website letting everyone know about it. Every person who brings canned goods and other non
perishable food items will get a ticket. Then sometime during the reception we'll have a drawing and those picked will get a prize. They'll get to pick their own prize out of different options that we'll have for them. I'm thinkin the prizes will be
stuff like a dance with the groom or bride or an extra piece of cake or stuff like that. I haven't figured out what all the prizes will be yet. Also whoever brings the most food for the food bank gets a voucher for a free cake from me. I'm a baker and
everybody likes cake so I think that'll be a good reward. My cakes are freakin awesome so I know people will be happy with that as a reward.
Also as favors i'm donating my time in their honor at the local animal rescue shelter helping animals to recover from injuries and getting them back to their normal playful selves. And i'm donating my time in their honor at a local company
where i'm teaching mentally challenged adults how to read and write and learn career skills to help them become more independent. I have been volunteering for a long time now so it's not actually just for the wedding favors. I just can't afford to
buy anything for favors and since i'm doing it anyway I might as well include it right. lol
