I think thats the last thing you want to worry about unless you are an amazing baker. I would hire someone who has experience like a culinary student or someone who has a home based business because they don't have the over head of a retail store. I was able to get a lady who is a manager at my local Ralph's bakery and she does wedding cakes on the side. I am getting a 4 tiered zebra print cake for 400 dollars average I have seen for what I want was 800 to 1000

Really is this person serious!!!! First of all a wedding cake should be torted and filled with some kind of filling in between the layers. Then dowels should be used to support each tier so that the cake does not collapse on itself!! This is the most ridicoulous thing I have ever seen and the cake looks very unprofessional. Not what I would want at my wedding.
