Shrink That Wedding Waistline: 3 Weeks to a Smaller Bride

One thing a lot of women wish for during their wedding planning is that they were just a few pounds lighter or a few inches smaller. If you want to shrink your wedding waistline, here is a 3-week plan that will help you become a thinner bride!

This plan is not something anyone should rely on if they need to be a size smaller. Also you should start working on your complexion more than 3 weeks before the big day. If you really want to lose weight do it before your final fitting and then simply maintain that weight.

And although veggies are good for you it should not comprise your entire diet.Eat meats that are high in protein and low in fat like skinless chicken breast, and certain types of fish (especially tuna). Switch to whole/mulitgrain breads. Plan out your meals and snacks so you don't yield to temptations. Instead of candy eat strawberries or a frozen fruit smoothie instead of icecream. You want a low sugar high protein, high fiber diet.

Totally agree with FutureMrs, this advice in this article sounds rather dangerous and extreme. To lose weight and achieve glowing skin it would be better to start about 6 months before the big day!

I think you should be working out all the time- and always eat healthy!!! as a lifestyle....

but i also think this diet would be extremely helpful to get rid of that stubborn tummy pooch that we all have- especially if you are going to wear a mermaid style dress!  I think no matter how healthy we all our, we all have the stubborn tummy.......this is a good way to get rid of it.  professional body builders and figure models do a similar thing a few weeks before competition.

I agree and disagree with the above comments. First of all, we as American's eat way too much starch and protein with our meals. The balanced meal has mostly fruits and veggies, a smaller serving size of protein than most have, and a little bit of carbs/starch. That being said, this plan isn't dangerous or extreme. However, it also can't be relied on as a 'lose weight fast' regime. I'd suggest throwing some weights in there. Why not grab some small weights and do arms while you walk?

This article doesn't say anything about losing a whole dress size in three weeks. There is nothing extreme nor dangerous about what they are proposing. And they never mention eliminating meat from the diet, they just say if you want to snack, eat fruits & veggies. All dietary guidelines say to eat no more than 3oz of meat in your meal, about the size of a deck of cards. American diets are way too heavy on the meat intake. All meat is high in protein, what you want to watch out for is the saturated fats. Choose baked skinless chicken or fish over fried or heavy red meats.

Drinking 8 glasses of water (8oz each) on a daily basis is really a good way to get healthy looking skin and reduce water retention.

Losing an inch off your tummy or waist is not the same as dropping an entire dress size. And if you really want to lose weight, then incorporate cardio & weights with a good diet. You must burn more calories than take in, before you lose any weight.

dwebber, your comment really helped! thanks! As you stated, the above article isn't really helpful nor detailed about how to lose weight in 3 weeks... I exercise daily, yet I understand food is a vital form of losing weight, as well. You provided some great insight..thanks and good luck to you!

This article is not a healthy way to lose weight in 3 weeks.  Anyone who wants to lose inches off of their mid section is going to need to put in serious committment more than 3 weeks before their wedding.  Workouts of cardio and weights 5-6 times a week for a minimum of 30 minutes and a maximum of 60 minutes are needed.  Eating healthy is key since working out then heating food that are overly processed, high in trans fat, high fructose corn syrup and sugar will derail your progress.  It's all about the numbers.  You have to work off more calories than you take in each day.  It's best to give your body 6 months to get the inches off that you want and not crash diet.  When you crash diet your blood sugar is out of wack and in the end you gain more weight than you lose.

I liked it and thought it was helpful insight. I have already started a routine and have lost 30lbs. It's coming off slowly because I don't believe in diets; however, I have changed my eating habits. This three week plan just may be what I need to lose the last ten pounds!
