these arent really themes to me. 

We did a "The Devil Wears Prada" theme for my sister. 

Totally love the recipe shower!!!

@cathedral bride- how did the devil wears prada theme go over for ur sister and what did that entail exactly. Do u have any pics. That would be great

My MOH threw my shower and she chose a "Sex in the City"/Moroccan theme, which was a ton of fun. The invitation had the movie poster in the background and the party decorations consisted of Bohemian throw pillows and picture frames.  We also had the movie playing on the big screen, of course. 

When I hosted my sister's bridal shower a few months ago, I opted for a "Sweetheart" theme, which was basically a Valentine's Day theme. I cleaned out the dollar stores during V-Day season and bought a ton of heart decorations without the Valentine’s Day wording on them.  I had several heart-shaped platters to hold the food and a sweetheart cupcake stand to hold the party favors (heart-shaped cookies wrapped in red and white tissue paper, tied with red and silver ribbons). 

Both showers were a ton of fun!  :-)
