My DH and I had a "day after" session where we TTD or in his case TDS...it was the most fun ever and we have gorgeous photos!  We were so relaxed and at ease that the photos really show that.

We will do this in our clothes that we did our engagement shoot in. We will also use that shoot for our Thank You cards

Instead of trashing the dress -- give it to charity!  bridesagainstbreastcancer.org  All the money goes to breast cancer research.

I have never heard of such an inane idea as this!  Why in the world would somebody intentionally destroy something designed to be cherished?  It's devastating enough to see the stains and rips/tears that happen during the reception, but to disrespect what is often considered an icon of marriage in such a wanton, flagrant way would make me wonder how awfully the bride will treat the other accoutrements of that day!?!  Maybe my wedding gift was only $100, and not $1,000 like her gown -- and if she's going to trash the dress, what's she going to do with the bedding set I gave her?  Scrub the toilets?

If you can't be bothered to save a tactile reminder of the biggest day in your life, then I think donating it to a charity is infinitely better than anything this article suggested.  My first thought was that somebody was high on drugs when they came up with this idea!  But I amended that to thinking perhaps it was a bride whose dress was irreparibly ruined during the reception, so she decided, what the hey!  Can't save it, so may as well completely destroy it -- the same thought process as demolition derby, I guess!

i definitely won't be doing this to my gown. I may get a new, cheap dress and do a TTD session but it's not really a priority.

We are doing a day after shoot in my reception gown on the beach. Excited about it.
